DMB Summer Book Club!

Do you remember Book It? I don’t know about you but I wish there was a Book It for adults, where we could earn pizza for reading. Or maybe, since we’re adults, we could earn wine for reading. Yea, wine definitely sounds a lot more fun.

Well, while I can’t provide you wine for reading, I can provide a place for moms to build community around the love of reading…reading books without pictures that is 😉

I love love love reading. I love talking about reading; I love libraries; I love sharing book recommendations; I literally love everything about books. And if you love reading and books even a fraction of the amount I do, I’d love to invite you to our Dayton Moms Blog, “Once Upon a Time” summer book club.

Now for what we’ll be reading: based off of the polls I put in the Dayton Moms Blog Instagram stories, the three most popular books (based off percentages of not previously read and interest in reading) are:

June: The Identicals by Elin Hilderbrand

July: Before We Were Yours by Lisa Wingate

August: Love Anthony by Lisa Genova

So make sure you get on Amazon.com or your library website and get those books because we’ll be starting to read each book on the first of the month! I’ll post bi-weekly discussion questions in the Facebook group (if you haven’t joined, make sure you do!) but anyone is allowed to post in the group throughout the month (without giving away spoilers of course!).

If you have any questions about the book club or the books chosen, feel free to comment below. Excited to start reading with you all!

Jenn! I love this idea! Do you have any idea when the meet ups will be? Or is this, like, a virtual book club?

Hey!! For now, it’s just a virtual book club. Since it’s just getting kicked off, I didn’t want to get ahead of myself with how into it people would be haha excited to see a familiar “face” in the group though! 🙂
