Round Up at the Panera Bread Register in Support of Flying Horse Farms

This post is part of a sponsored relationship, however, we are excited for the opportunity to help spread the word about the fundraising efforts of this organization and the local camp they are working to support.

Giddy up, Dayton moms!

During the month of September, Panera Bread locations across Dayton are inviting you to participate in their Register Round Up. What exactly is “Register Round Up,” you might ask? Well, it’s simple: just head on over to your neighborhood Panera and round up your total to the nearest dollar & those proceeds will go on to support Flying Horse Farms.

Flying Horse Farms is an incredible camp located in Mt. Gilead, Ohio that provides unforgettable camp experiences for children facing serious illnesses, along with their families, at no cost to them. Included among the campers are children who are currently receiving treatment at Dayton Children’s Hospital and Nationwide Children’s Hospital, both who are partners with the camp. Campers are able to experience all the joys of camp with the ability to still receive extensive care at their on-site health center which is staffed by medical professionals from across the Midwest.

When: The entire month of September

Where: Panera locations across the Greater Dayton area

What: Eat at Panera Bread and ask the cashier to “round up” your order to the next dollar amount

Why: Because all kids deserve to experience the magic of camp.

It’s a small gift that makes a world of difference in a local child’s life.

One thing that truly sets Flying Horse Farms apart from the rest is the fact that it is a member of the SeriousFun Children’s Network (SFCN). This network was founded in 1988 by Ohio native and actor Paul Newman as a community of camps and programs, independently managed and financed, for children with serious illnesses worldwide. Their mission is to empower experiences built on the foundation that children should not be defined by their illnesses.

I volunteer at Flying Horse Farms because I like being a part of something that helps kids have an opportunity to get away from the hardships of having a serious illness and just be a kid again. I love giving them a chance to be silly and try something they may never have thought they could do before. Every time I volunteer, I get to experience the magic of camp again. – Volunteer

By participating Panera Bread’s Register Round Up, you will be helping to ensure that future campers will get to experience all of the fun that Flying Horse Farms has to offer such as swimming, archery, boating, and fishing at absolutely no cost to them. What an incredible gift!
