Adventure Reef Water Park

School’s out and the pool is IN! There’s no better place to cool off than the Adventure Reef Water Park in Kettering! From your tiniest swimmers to your biggest dolphins, Adventure Reef Water Park is sure to entertain the whole family! 1. Troy Strawberry Festival @ Great Miami River Levee

2. Vintage Market Days @ Greene County Fairgrounds

Head out and enjoy a fun and unique vintage shopping experience. Explore all the wonderful good the vendors have to offer plus enjoy live music and food trucks throughout the weekend.

3. The Banana Split Festival @ Wilmington Ohio

***DMB Tip*** This is an outdoor event so be sure to check the weather before heading out!

Come and celebrate the banana split in the town that created it! Experience the nostalgia of the 50’s and 60’s in this outdoor festival features food, fun, games and of course BANANA SPLITS!

4. Stop Motion and Claymation Summer Camp @ Grass Roots Enrichment and Wellness Center for Children & Families

***DMB Tip*** Bring an Ipad, Iphone, or Nintendo 3DS to film during class times.

Come and create your own clay character, sets, storyboards, etc and put it all together in your own short film. 

5. Woodland Historic Tour @ Woodland Cemetery and Arboretum

***DMB Tip*** Due to extensive walking (both up and down hill) consider leaving your little ones at home and bring the big kids along for the history and fun.

Come and explore the history and beauty of Woodland Cemetery and Arboretum and check out some of the final resting places of our nations greatest inventors and some local “celebrities”. 

6. Family Movie Night @ The Greene

***DMB Tip*** Bring blankets to sit on to enjoy the film and snack to share with the family.

Come and enjoy a movie under the stars with the entire family. On top of the movie, there will also be balloon twisters and face painting for the kids. 

7. Sliders, Slides, and Suds @ Fraze Pavilion

***DMB Tip*** Bring lawn chairs and blankets to sit on to enjoy the food and tunes.

8. Festival On The Hill @ Dayton Masonic Center

***DMB Tip*** Friday is more of a “Happy Hour” themed night, so take the kiddos on Saturday for all the family-friendly fun.

9. Dayton Air Show @ Dayton International Airport

***DMB Tip*** Buy your tickets at Kroger or Online, doing this will save you some moo-lah!

What better place than Dayton, the birthplace of aviation, to watch an air show?!?  Watch the U.S. Navy Blue Angles perform aerial acts, check out multiple plane displays, or even take your own helicopter ride. The Air Show is definitely a Dayton MUST.

10. Carillon Park Rail Festival @ Carillon Historical Park

***DMB Tip***  Prepare for lots of walking, so wear appropriate shoes and bring strollers for the little ones.

A weekend of miniature train rides, live steam engines, model train displays, historical displays, and fun for all ages.

11. Independence Day Family Fun Weekend @ Youngs Dairy

Be on the lookout for “Y on the Fly” throughout the Summer!

The YMCA of Greater Dayton’s ‘Y ON THE FLY’ program is a mobile YMCA delivering games, activities and healthy snacks to children in underserved neighborhoods during the summer months. With the generous support of PNC, DP&L, Dayton Children’s Hospital, and Public Health – Dayton & Montgomery County, Y on the Fly will host 90 minutes of fun each day for kids at different locations around the city. Each stop will include activities like jump rope, hula hoop, sports, games and obstacle courses followed by a healthy, nutritious snack activity! Y on the Fly is free and open to kids of all ages.
