8) Mardi Gras
**DMB Tip: King Cake is like a deliciously over-sized cinnamon roll & is a must-try!

  • February 13th

Although it’s nearly impossible to find a good old-fashioned Mardi Gras parade up here in Dayton, you can still celebrate with a delicious King Cake from Dorothy Lane Market or grab some cardboard boxes for your kids to decorate as “floats” and have your own parade! This former Louisianian will be doing both!

9) Valentine’s’ Day
**DMB Tip: If you’re a Valentine’s Day nay-sayer, take the day as an excuse just to be extra kind to others!

  1. I’ve been wanting to try out Sky Zone! Not sure if my daughter is quite ready for it, but it will definitely be on our radar! Great list of suggestions!

    • Thanks! Sky Zone is definitely a lot of fun! My boys love it! The first time I brought my youngest, he was a little over a year old & walking, so your daughter will be able to do it soon!

  2. Curious as to where you found the info for the NMUSAF Family Day. It isn’t listed on heir website, nor on their FB page. Thanks!
