I’m coming off the Easter high…and I don’t mean the candy! I mean, the excitement of the holiday! The joy of the season was so much fun to prepare and celebrate with my young children. But, now, we are winding down from the overload of crafts, books, and activities
related to Easter, and I am searching for the next theme for my little home-schooled preschoolers. I mean, really, you can find just about 50 Easter projects/crafts to every .0001 ordinary time projects/crafts (excepting Christmas, of course!).

So, I’m grudgingly starting a “spring” theme with my daughters, as I feel that’s pretty lame (but, in all reality, my daughters love it!). I just wish, selfishly, that I could come up with a theme that I enjoyed as much as they do. Religious education is a passion of mine, and I’ve recently discovered some gems on the subject:
- Catholicicing.com – my favorite go-to Catholic education website.
- Can You Find Jesus – a search and find book about the life of Jesus. Bonus – Can You Find Saints?
- Tell Me About the Catholic Faith from the Bible to the Sacraments – I’ve ordered this book, but haven’t read it yet.
- Godly Play – a series of books that provide detailed religious lessons to present to young children.
So, where do I go from here? I’m thinking about making the adorable giant rosary found on Catholicicing. Yay for pool noodles!
Do you have suggestions for me? I’m looking for activities/projects for under 5-year-olds.
Also, has everyone heard about the new St. Mary‘s church being built on Yankee? I’m so excited!
