The Mom’s Guide to Local U-Pick Apple Fun {2017}

This guide is presented in partnership with the featured businesses. We are grateful to them for their support in helping us provide these resources to local moms.

Is anyone else enjoying the fresh, crisp, cool air that has finally arrived after a rather sweltering summer? Or maybe lighting their apple/pumpkin spice candles and looking forward to all things fall? One of the most popular activities during the fall is U-Pick Apple Picking!

Dayton Mom’s Blog is happy to bring you your official fall guide to U-Pick Apple Picking in the Dayton area!

But, first… some quick tips on taking the whole family Apple Picking!

  • Check the website for all of the details you need to know about the orchard before you go.
  • Double check the weather before heading out and dress for success!
  • Call ahead to confirm crop availability (this may depend on the week or the season, so make sure that you ask!)

Tuken's Orchard & Farm Market

Are you looking for that perfect family-friendly orchard to check out this fall? We would love to suggest Tuken’s Orchard & Farm Market. Your kiddos will love checking out the Critter Coral (small fee applies), exploring the orchard & farm, and of course – picking those delicious apples!

Tuken’s is the premier u-pick destination for a plethora of fruits and vegetables. With 42 varieties of early, mid, and late season apples, visitors can pick their own from August through November. The orchard is specifically designed for u-pick, as the trees are heavy fruiting and apples hang lower to the ground for easy access.

***DMB Mom Tip – Stop by their market to check out their gourmet products, treat yourself to an apple cider slushie or a dip of home made ice cream.
